Welcome to the new frontier of big mountain skiing and snowboarding. Big Mountain Taxi (BMT) is now pleased to offer snowmachine transport, guided splitboard and ski touring on Thompson Pass and the greater Valdez area.

     Since Valdez was discovered for it’s amazing skiing and snowboarding it has since been an epicenter for extreme skiing and big mountain snowboarding.  The Chugach mountain range that surrounds Valdez is world renown for the costal snowpack that allows us to ski some of the greatest terrain found on this planet.  Ask anyone that is a skier or snowboarder and chances are they have heard of “Valdez, Alaska” and there is a reason for that!  BMT is offering you a chance to take part in this amazing experience that will surely want you coming back for more!     

      Technology in the past decade or so has enabled snowmachines to progress into mountainous environments that was once coveted only by helicopter/ski-plane access or multi-day approaches for those traveling by foot.  BMT offers the best services for skiing , snowboarding, ski mountaineering, climbing, splitboard and ski touring on a budget.
